Inspiring Minds, Creating Futures

WAU

At St Bernard's, the World Around Us (WAU) curriculum is taught in alignment with the Northern Ireland Curriculum, providing children with opportunities to explore and understand the world through the interconnected strands of History, Geography, and Science and Technology. Through hands-on activities, investigations, and discussions, pupils are encouraged to ask questions, think critically, and develop an awareness of the world around them. We aim to inspire curiosity and a sense of wonder, helping children to make connections between past, present, and future, and understand their role in the local and global community. By fostering inquiry-based learning, we equip pupils with the knowledge and skills to explore the world with confidence and responsibility.
