Numeracy

At St Bernard's, Numeracy is taught in alignment with the Northern Ireland Curriculum, ensuring children develop essential mathematical skills and concepts in a structured and engaging way. Through practical activities, problem-solving, and real-life contexts, we aim to build confidence and enthusiasm for mathematics. Our teaching focuses on key areas such as number, shape and space, measures, and data handling, encouraging pupils to think critically and apply their learning in meaningful ways. By fostering a supportive and stimulating environment, we help every child to progress at their own pace, laying a strong foundation for lifelong numeracy skills.
