Belfast Schools Champions
?? Congratulations to Mr Morgan and the Boys Gaelic Team on winning the Schools Championship at St. Enda’s this afternoon ??
This St. Bernard's team don't know how to give up. They had to dig deep again today in the final of the schools championship at St. Endas. 5 points down before we got our first point of the match, the boys kept fighting to be only 2 points down at half time. In the second half, they came out strong and determined and led by 1 point going into the final few moments. A St. Patrick's player showed great courage to send over an equalising free kick to send the game into extra-time.
St. Patrick's, Holywood started extra time strongly and again found themselves infront. However, the St. Bernard's boys again found a way to get themselves level at the half way point of extra time. The boys were now full of confidence and they pushed on in the second half of extra time, winning by 3 points.
We are all very proud of each and every one of them. This has been a result of hard work from all 30 of the boys in the panel who attend training every week. Well done To the Champions!
